looking at a maurice lacroix rose gold chronograph and an IWC Portuguese chronograph. I know maurice lacroix has had a complicated past with their quartz movements but this one seems a step above and something comparable I think would cost 3 times as much. Just curious what everyone's opinion is on these two. I can get the maurice lacroix for 65 off list.

I would go for the IWC, its a great classic looking watch (as well as resale value... if you ever did decide to sell, not that should be a consideration when buying a watch  )

The ML is a very nice watch... but faced with that choice I'm firmly in the IWC camp :-)

Of course you should get the watch YOU want... not the one we want ;-)

Not at all... it's a very nice watch!

But comparing it to the IWC Portugese is a tough challenge for the ML :)

Too bling for me, since you ask.

I'm in the IWC camp therefore.

ML looks better from the back. Solid piece, but can't hold a candle to the IWC.

thanks everyone for their input. I was just curious as the people on the IWC boards seem to be split they love the look but many are complaining about quality control and customer service.
