I think it's pretty sweet and nice to see Movado revisiting automatics... Yay or nay?

Have to give that one a "nay" . . . but to each his own, of course.

I'm a little surprised by all the Movado hate - there's more to the brand than the Museum watch!

This piece doesn't work for me, but I like the way that the brand is diversifying.

I have two, one is the anthracite (I may have this wrong - it's black small squares) band - which I can't find where I put it, and it really has been annoying me that I lost it. The older is a gold tone one, but rarely wear it. They were amongst my first "nice" watches.

Ever since though, I really have lost interest in the brand though.

OK, as a voice of insanity - I actually don't dislike it! I'd never own it - too small and PVD'd - but I quite like it visually. (I'll get my coat!)

I meant to replace it with one of her wearing my Blackbird but haven't gotten to it yet

Personally I don't think I'd ever buy the watch (for that price tag, I'd rather get a used Breitling but that's just me), but I still like it. They've made all their watches look the same for so long, and all have been nothing but "Swiss Quartz"...their use of automatics, a unique face, and alligator is pretty neat IMO. From what I've read about Movado, it sounds like that years ago they were very diversified and they did a lot of stuff with automatic and moon phase development...and just browsing forums it is amusing to see that vintage Movado pieces outsell new ones almost regularly!

I've had a few too but I'm right there with you in that I lost interest in it. Cool looking but they were quartz, they all looked almost the same to me, and they weren't among the most durable of watches either..I had one turn my wrist orange...after that I lost interest completely.

I've got a large faced automatic museum SE that just doesn't get any wrist time anymore. It's a classic in my eyes, but this one just isn't for me.

To me the dial appears way too busy. I would give it a NAY also.

I am in the minority. I'd probably never own one unless a gift and not much of a Movado fan but this one I like or don't dislike...but then I like most things space related. Moon phase and calendar at the bottom both tip the scales in the OK direction. I have seen worse.

I'm not a movado guy. The brand just doesn't do it for me.
