I have seen several of the first run DJII's in the counter but with the increased size and larger bezel the fluted style was just way too loud for me (even coming from a Breitling guy) but I will say that the non-fluted version on the website now is just a stellar option for those who shyed away from the Milgauss due to the lack of a date, but want a different style from the GMT or Sub. I am drooling over the blue dial model |

I've seen a few of them over on the Rolex forums. I like them, but I feel like they're missing something, but then again, I'm a huge fan of the fluted bezel. You can probably tell based on what I got today. ![]() |

man that is one sexy piece of dress watch. Congrats on the new pick up. Did one leave the stable or was this a straight addition? I prefer the non-fluted for my personal style but have no qualms about the pure class of any of the updated DJII models. Very Nice addition, and I particularly like the arabic numerals for a touch of sportiness. |

yes i have seen it at the AD and its looks really nice. some folks have mentioned that the bezel is tad thick for their liking. IMO if it were a bit thinner I wouldnt mind but then again I like it as is too. great looking piece. |

I need to get a good lume shot to show the blue lume in the arabics with the green lume on the hands. |

Nice pick up Justin. I would love to pick up a blue stick dial version... after wearing a 40mm can't get used to wearing a 36mm you know? Don't know if that extra mm will make a huge difference but love the fact that the DJ is available in a bigger size. BTW I like fluted bezels too more than the smooth one. ![]() |

For comparison purposes, here's the same dial with the smooth bezel that was posted on the rolex forums. ![]() I had the smooth bezel on my Milgauss and I noticed it was more prone to scratches which shouldn't be the case with the fluted bezel. |

I don't mind the flueted bezel but for some reason the smooth bezel looks awkward almost as if the bezel is too big for the watch. |

Oddly conflicted about the DJ II. I really like the blue dial piece and a few other color combinations as well, but between the fluted bezel and polished centerlinks it has a lot of glitz. I have also seen the smooth bezel and it just appeared to me that the bezel seemed too big. Odd, because I don't mind it on the Milgauss. I find myself wondering if Rolex, of all companies, made a watch too big??? DJ is too small and I'm presently thinking that the DJ II is at least for my tastes a mm or two too large, particularly with all the shine of the fluted bezel. I am trying to get used to it, sort of like I'm trying to get used to the new Chronomat bezels. Sorry to say,the big Rolex may have a better chance of growing on me. |

I prefer the fluted. I have a TT datejust II and love it! It is def a watch I will keep forever. The fluted bezel screams classic Rolex and hides small blemished quite well. |
