Try not to get too syndical about this or else you will end up like me!
When you think about it, there is sense in all of this. People who can afford to pay a lot of money on things they probably know little about (and probably care even less) have an inherent need to spend. I say, we should facilitate that need. Our role should be to encourage them to spend lots and spend frequently. That’s what keeps the economy ticking over.
If they don’t spend it, then there is little point of having expensive stores in hyper expensive shopping strips? Right! And where else are we going to drool over a makers offerings if these places don’t exist?
There is no point in getting upset either. If people don’t want to be educated beyond a salesperson reasoning, then there is nothing that can be said or done to persuade them otherwise. So, they buy on a sales recommendation and that provides a spot of light relief for the rest of us.
Or, perhaps the $150K buy was actually the pick of the bunch and a bargain to boot! The person who bought this might think that way. For the rest of us, being in that position is just a dream………..
