I was away over the weekend & met a very cool clockmaker with an array of vintage/antique clocks from strikers to Windsor Chimes, regulators, repeaters etc.

For the most part all reasonably price (it's not in NYC - lol); what are the best published guides with representation of brands, styles, types, & quality? A buyers guide of sorts. In other words I want to buy something special, unique & old! He showed me a Junghans Westminster Chimes Tambour for $300.00 looked like a plain jane but sounded magnificently (I actually liked this piece very much)! I just want to do my due diligence before committing to one or three of these antique clocks!

Thank you for your prompt replies in advance!

P.S Anyone knows anything about fans, I just picked a Polar Cub dual speed and it oscillates circa 1924 - 1928?

A lot of outdated and unreliable information out there, but this is the best place to start - http://www.antiqueclockspriceguide.com/
