Post subject:  Does rotating between watches affect service intervals?

Hey folks!

Like so many among us, I rotate my watches quite a bit in that i'll usually wear one for a week and another one the week after etc. Now, I do not store my watches in a winder and therefore have them be stationary (fully unwound and inactive) for longer periods.

Which leads up to my question:

Do watches which are worn maybe a week in three have the same service intervals as watches which are worn every day? Are the service intervalls longer because the watches in question experience less wear? Or shorter, because the lubrification hardens up while inactive? Or does it not make any difference at all?

I really can't quite get my head around this issue and would be most grateful if someone could shed some light on it.

It's no difference. Service intervals in modern watches are dictated by the breakdown of the oils and that happens through a predictable aging process regardless of use.
