Hi all, I'd like to share some pictures I just took of my two precious watches, the Rolex Deepsea and Omega PO 8500. I am extremely happy with these two watches and very appreciative of being able to own both of these beauties! Here you go, enjoy! ![]() Austin ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Beautiful watches. I'm constantly surprised at how drawn I am to the Omega even with a DeepSea next to it! |

They are sweet! The PO was the other model I liked when looking at my SO SF...it was a bit more though and I happened to get a really good deal on my SF so I jumped on it, but I would have loved a PO as well. I'd feel equally competent diving with any (of course they are analog backups to a dive comp so their value there is debatable ![]() ![]() |

Congratulations on a great pair (last time I said that I got slapped). Personally, I'd take the Omega and take a vacation with the savings. |

Does the PO have a dual AR coating where as the DSSD doesn't? I just noticed the glare from the DSSD is a lot more so than the PO. |

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! you are correct, the DSSD doesn't have AR, whereas the PO has AR on both sides |

Yes it is an amazing watch, with a tremendous amount of engineering behind it, and the best clasp in the world (IMHO), but I always felt like they dropped the ball when they didn't put an AR on it. The dial was always washed out by glare, and this becomes especially apparent anytime you see it next to an Omega or B'ling. Also, mine had so-so lume. Again, for a $10K watch, I expected better. I have since replaced the sold DSSD with a PO 9300, one of the clearest dials I've seen, with colourless AR coating. |

I hope to own both watches some day and I understand your point on DSSD but I wouldn't have sold it, I would have had it double AR-ed and relumed. |

Wondering what size PO you have...Looks much bigger than the DSSD so I'm guessing 45.5mm? Thanks... |

yup, the PO is 45.5mm It's only marginally bigger than the DSSD (44mm) |
