O.K., I know it is only August but it is never to early for the Holidays when a new watch is in play!

I am looking to add variety to my small collection; therefore, I was considering a Rolex since I already have a Panerai.

Initially, I was smitten by the current GMT II; however, when I went to the AD he had the following:

Explore II (Black & White)

GMT II

Milgauss Green Crystal (Surprised)

I tried them all and walked away lusting for the Explore II (White). Thought the Black resembled to closely my IWC's. The White Explore is totally different from anything I currently own. I loved the fact it is a utilitarian piece with understated beauty and not screaming Rolex like the GMT - yet I know the GMT is an iconic piece. Furthermore, I am also aware how arduous it is to get one's mittens on a Milgauss Green Crystal.

Nonetheless, would I be naive in choosing the Explore II when it would perhaps be the smarter play for either the GMT II or the
Milgauss Green Crystal?

Additionally, deep within the recesses of my mind I have little voices also suggesting either Panerai 305 or IWC Ingenieur.

Thank God Christmas isn't for another four months!
