I bet that was free for the publicity...or at least discounted. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder as that watch does nothing for me. |

What watch would you buy for that money ? That watch dose look old for a girl like her. Personally, the one I have now, a few other Breitlings, an Omega Seamaster like the PO, and a classic Rolex..likely the Deep Sea. But that's just me. I like watches I can beat the crap out of as I'm active (especially with water sports) and hard on them and all of the above are beefy...and I look at it as if I am going to spend big money on a watch, I am going to wear it everywhere. I look at that watch and it does nothing for me and I doubt I could wear is when jet skiing or doing diving. Where as the Deep Sea is like, "I've been to the bottom of the Marinas Trench and used in the arctic for 50 consecutive dives so, so 'cant touch this...' ". Perhaps if I had to spend that money on a single watch I would buy the actual Rolex made to go to 40,000 feet that James Cameron piloted to the lowest known point on earth. To me that is an engineering marval and something that wows me...the fact that we can build a watch to stand that kind of pressure which is just unimaginable leaves me in a wide-eyed state. I imagine though you could ask 1,000 people the same question and not get one alike answer so different strokes. I guess if she's happy more power too her but I would expect her to have something more eclectic...it looks so bland. What would you get? |

I think the deep sea would be perfect for water sports and also when you go out it would still look good. I would buy a Rolex like you because they are well built and you get what you pay for. I would get the new Rolex Yachtmaster 2 Bi metal because Its a sports type watch and its has steel and gold so it would be ideal for all ocasions. Like you said the Deepsea is amazing by the way its built and the pressure it can go to. The patek is too fancy and is a dress type watch but if I had lots of money like them I suppose it wouldn't matter because you could buy lots of watches. ![]() |
