Two totally different watches here I am considering. I know both are a not likely to get a ton of wrist time, but I am still strangely drawn to both. Guessing neither will get a ton of love from the group, but hey you don't have to wear them I do. Still I value your opinions. The Doxa would be new, limited edition (aren't they all ![]() As for the B&R. Used for sure as prices drop like a rock over new. Nothing special at all in case/color more the plane Jane of the entire range...other than the B&R specific look. I tried on several B&Rs recently and like the 03 44mm line on my wrist much more than the 01 46mm size. I also found the steel and white numbers more to my liking over the PVD and blue/orange/yellow numbers...though the Phantom is a pretty great combo, but afraid it might lose its novelty over time. I'd really like a chrono and think that should be my next watch. I have kicked around the idea of a used speedy moon watch as well. Also leaning heavily toward a vintage piece and picked up a Zodiac Seawolf recently but it is really small, more the thickness than the size so a bit on the fence now with vintage pieces. Hard to really know since difficult to try on first. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'd take the B&R of those two, although it wouldn't be my choice of B&Rs. I couldn't live with the colour of the Doxa. |

I have always wanted to give Doxa a shot as I really like the case style which looks like it will sit low on the wrist and they have that cool 70's Jaws look to them. Being that I am in the market for a three hander, I may have to include Doxa in the mix but probably with a silver or the traditional orange dial. Not much of a fan of the square case B&R style |

If you were concerned about losing the "novelty" of a Phantom B&R, how much more risky would the Listerine-Doxa be? |

While I really dig the retro beads of rice bracelet the matching rubber is a must have for the Doxa. Total summer/vacation watch. I really want a yellow seawolf (new style) to scratch that itch, but figure this Doxa could work just as well. ![]() |

Neither. I has a B&R and didn't like a thing about it. I think of the 03 is 42x42 but wears very large. Not sure I could go for a baby blue watch with a baby blue strap. Get the Seawolf! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would go for the B&R, based on I like the flat, square look. |

I have been curious about B&R but never enough to do anything serious about it. I like the caribbean blue dial Doxa but I have never had the chance to try one on. For me, I would go with one of your off-the-board themes. I'm thinking moonwatch or vintage look. Personally I have had my eye on a Longines Legend Diver since I had to part ways with my Navi. You can find them pre-owned, in the $1500 range, basic eta movement but as faithful a re-creation as there is to its forebear, the Legend Diver of the early 60s, size and all. Can be had with or without date. |

The Doxa by a mile. I personally find B&R a kind of novelty brand at best (although I do quite like the BR-02 Chrono), and the square ones are my least favourite. The Doxa has a lot more heritage (colour aside in this case), and I'm personally a big fan of watches, although their customer service and forum moderation has often sucked IME. That said, the 1200T wears quite small (as indeed do all Doxas to a certain extent), so just be aware of that if you go that route. Personally I've had a 45mm 5000T and a 44mm 600T-Graph and they're really good watches, but they wear a lot smaller than their dimensions suggest. But as I say, I'd always go the Doxa route in a choice between that and a B&R. |

The Doxa would have at least a little potential to grow on me, and the B & R would have potential to grow in the first field I was able to throw it in. There's a ton of watches that I have developed at least a mild interest for, but that brand is certainly not one of them. As for the yellow Seawolf, I seen some killer pics posted on WUS and it damn near made me bail on my thought to get the silver one. I could see myself owing it one day in addition to what I have now. |

I am sold on the seawolf, just get 10 people here to send me $15 each to make up the difference. ![]() Kidding aside can you buy just the endlinks for a Breitling head, say the seawolf? I already have a 22mm Pro 2 bracelet on my steelfish, not to mention the diver pro 2 and OR. I know I could run the yellow seawolf on either rubber, but would it be possible to buy just the head/endlinks and use my pro 2 sainless? |

Get the yellow seawolf then.. don't compromise, as you'll likely still end up wanting the seawolf! |

For $150 I would save my money until I had enough for the watch I wanted! Don't think that Breitling will sell you the end links, but a WTB may be worth trying. |

Damn public schools not sure if that was bad math or bad typing. ![]() That is what I thought about the end links SF and SW have to be different due to case size difference, right? Bummer. |

Another vote for the Doxa. Always wanted to try one and own one but never found anywhere that sells one and don't want to take the risk blind. Having said that it is indeed an unusual dial colour still better than than the B&R which don't do much for me. |
