well, I believe the omega is a tuning fork movement like a Bulova accutron. I can't remember if Omega made its own or used the same movement.

I've never seen such a Rolex before. Perhaps the boys at TRF or VRF can help you out.

Looks like both pieces hail from the 70's.

Yes they are both from the 70's my family is going through my grandfathers estate and came across these two pieces.

I believe the Rolex is either a 1977 or 1978 King Midas & the Omega is as well a mid 70's Constellation.

I am trying to figure out not only the value but also the rarity of the watches.

If you're planning on selling I would think the Omega wouldn't fetch too much money IMHO but the Rolex might have some value.

Try looking at some other comparable pieces on eBay. Might give you some ideas on where they stand. Just don't look at BIN prices. Might be inflated.

Just curious is the Rolex solid gold? Don't think the Omega is but I could be wrong too.
