I'm not sure how many of you know who Philippe Dufour is, but he produces absolutely amazing watches, with incredible precision and he is extremely true to the classic watchmaker's craft.

I found this interview with him - it's old now (2002), but you can feel the passion coming through - I for one find it encouraging that people like this are still in the industry - it gives me hope that I'll still be excited by watches 50 years from now - http://www.thepurists.com/watch/feature ... ws/dufour/

Good reading, I am now motivated to discover more about watches by Phillippe Defour. You know he makes a good point about how modern machines produce perfect results but the material is dead.
