IWC does a beautiful job with rose gold and the ardoise dial, spectacular. However, their pilot cases are extremely long. One of the things about the numerals that really annoyed me was that they were outlined in a Stainless Steel looking material and at certain viewing angles the numbers actually appeared to grow. ![]() You can see in the photo above the beautifully raised numbers. Now look at the 4, 5, 7 below, the stainless steel outline blends into the number and it makes the number look like it just doubled in size. This was very annoying for me and lead the way for its departure. ![]() |

@mfserge - I see what you mean about the weird illusion with the numerals. What if you leased one in rose gold? Might as well confirm the theory, right? |
