Panerai seem to be dominating so far with a lot of announcements, there's a separate thread already on those so I'll avoid that here, but here are a couple that have stood out for me so far.

Montblanc Timewalker II Bi Frequence 1,000. Tag got huge media coverage for their 1 / 1,000th of a second chrono, this Montblanc is another one, but with a more practical 45 minute power reserve - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/sihh/montbl ... ence-1000/

New Roger Dubuis collection - Pulsion. Not sure about these, they don't look overly readable, but the tourbillon is an engineering marvel - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/sihh/sihh-2 ... -titanium/ The range is identified by the crystal being screwed onto the case - probably all that you can see unfortunately - the hands seem to disappear entirely on the chrono - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/watches/sih ... onographs/

IWC have a non chrono version of the Top Gun Miramar with ceramic case. Quite like this, but the chrono is probably more practical - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/sihh/sihh-2 ... -ref-5019/ and IWV also announced a new Worldtimer, nice but not ground breaking - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/sihh/sihh-2 ... -ref-3262/

AP has a new Royal Oak Jumbo, not my sort of thing, but I know that we have some AP fans (though perhaps not so much the RO as opposed to the ROO) - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/sihh/sihh-2 ... oak-jumbo/

Favourite for me though so far is JLC - their Spherotourbillon is a thing of beauty in my mind - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/sihh/sihh-2 ... ourbillon/

Not had a look at many pre-SIHH threads yet, but I checked out the 51111 powered Miramar Top Gun Pilots watch, and I think it looks just as bl**dy terrible as the new Miramar chrono version. The "vintage" lume clashes horribly with the red on the dial to my mind. Just horrid.

That IWC Worldtimer though is very nice IMO. I wonder if it's an in-house movement......

The other thing I'm conscious of is that for the first time in a good few years I'm a bit ho-hum about the latest Panerai offerings. There's nothing inherantly wrong with with any of them per se (apart from Panerai's newly rediscovered love of "historic" plexiglass), but they just don't stand out for me compared to previous years.

Agree that the new IWC Top Gun's are horrible! They took a great looking sporty bad@$$ watch and ruined it. The AP jumbo is beautiful, I really really like the simple classic look of that piece. And the JLC is a out of the world. The price tag on that has to be $70k-$100k right???

Calibre is 30750 which I assume means not, other 30xxx movements are 2892-A2 based.

Here's a look at the new carbon fiber AP Diver. Very nice looking piece.

Maybe the most expensive SIHH announcement....

Richard Mille 056 with saphire case - http://richardmille.watchprosite.com/?s ... &ti=765828

Just $1.65 million.

IWC has posted all of their new pilot watches on their website. Some of them have a new inhouse movement.

Really like the new IWC pilot line. Even though BP/Miramar models are too large for me, the tweaks they made to the 3777 and MK XVII (41mm now) look very good. The Miramar Chrono is really cool, case is very interesting color, just going to wear too large at 46mm :( .

Apparently 2012 is the year of unreadable watches - another one with the hands the exact smae colour as the dial - but yes, I want one - RM052 Skull.

Love most of that lineup, quite spectacular - besides that Atmos thing, too much of Klimt in Vienna already.

Bit of a different Richard Mille - apparently this is reminiscent of Polo :? - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/sihh/sihh-2 ... c-donough/

And an almost 'normal' watch by Greubel Forsey standards - http://blog.perpetuelle.com/sihh/sihh-2 ... temporain/

Some nice pieces from A Lange & Sohne as well (there's a shock) - seems to be one thread per watch at the Purists for these:

I love everything about it except that it's 46mm, that's a deal breaker for me. I'm so bummed that they didn't also offer it in a 44mm case because this checks all the boxes for me on a pilot watch which is the only thing I'm looking for in 2012.
