Post subject:  Looking For Help With Counterfeiting Research

Hi Guys,

A bit of background info to start with. I am a Master of Business Administration student at Glasgow University in Scotland and for my dissertation I have decided to research the effect counterfeiting may or may not have on brand equity in the Swiss watch industry.

May I reassure you that I have no affiliation with any industry organisations or companies, my background is in marketing and brand management but in the confectionery industry.

I have an interest in watches, owning a couple of Tag Heuer's and a vintage Omega Seamaster and I am looking for people with a passion and knowledge for watches to complete the survey.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=b ... wSSw_3d_3d

I hope I am not breaking any rules or annoying any members by posting the link to my survey in this posting. I would like to reassure you that the only personal information taken by the survey is nationality & occupation and your ip address will not be taken.

I would like to thank you for your time in reading this post and hopefully answering the survey.

Many thanks

James.

I tried to do your survey but the I gave up, after knowing having to answer the same questions again after given the "scenario".

I completed the survey but was also confused regarding the "scenario".

I answered as if the "BRAND" was "counterfeit" rather than "Breitling".

Maybe you need to modify/clarify the wording a little.

Good luck

Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to answer the questionnaire, it is very much appreciated!!!!!

I understand and appreciate your comments Breitling Bloke, it is a tough one to write the scenario section without leading the respondent. This is however something that I will look at.

Again lots of thanks to all so far who have taken the time to complete the survey.

James.
