Last year I set my sights on the new Rolex Explorer2 42mm. This year my plan is to add a Pilot watch and I have found the winner. The all new IWC 3878 with inhouse movement. Measuring in at 43mm and a 63 hour power reserve, this watch has exactly what I am looking for in a pilot watch.

The new Spitfire. I was just looking at it again today trying to figure out why it was so much more expensive than the 3777, then I saw the in-house movement, whew! The new dial color looks quite unique in pictures, very rich, and dial design looks great IMO. Have you seen the case back? Cool feature. Great choice!

I like the improvements on the 3777 also, wonder how long before ADs get them in.

I dont like much about IWC, but thats about as good looking of one as ive seen. The dial color looks perfect with the case, and the red accents give it some life.

Looks good. I like the dimension of the dial.

I think that is amazing. Looks like the dial color you can only get on the Port. Chrono in gold and have always loved that color. It sure is no Yacht Club!!

Sweet!! Congrats Sergio, it is a real beauty. I was just reading about the new Top Gun Miramar edition. I just love it. Seeing how I go to Mirarmar almost weekly, it's kinda cool. Post some pics when you get it! :D -Don

Nice looking piece. I personally still prefer the non-Miramar Top Gun (DEFINITELY the non-Miramar version!), but this one is a strong second-place.

Great looking piece. What's the MSRP on this one compared to the 3777 ?

If you're referring to the black ceramic 46mm piece with inhouse then I totally agree with you, it looks amazing. BUT, due to the size it won't work for me.

I haven't been able to find that yet. I'm going to call my AD today but most likely they won't have details for awhile.

It reminds me of the 5001 in Ardoise that is only available in white gold. I have always wanted that dial color but would never go for a white gold watch. You're right, it's def not a Yacht Club...POS :!:

That's a nice looking piece Sergio, I really really like the color and subdial layout. My only small complaint is I'm not a raving fan of the date wheel layout i.e. I just prefer to see one date however not a deal breaker. I'm looking forward to seeing it on your wrist.

The triple date wheel...some love it and some hate it. I happen to love it on pilot watches; it really fits in well with the pilot theme imo.

I'm with you Serge....that one struck me too. Very nice all the way around from the color combos on the dial, sub dial layout, in-house movement...every bit a winner.
