Any Hublot experts in the house?

The same guy who tried to sell a fake Ling some time ago (viewtopic.php?f=9&t=38075&view=previous ) appears to have sold a Hublot for over £6K a couple of days ago:

What's the odds this being real?

Although the external differences are subtle, compared to this reference version. (http://www.chrono24.com/en/hublot/big-b ... Findex.htm) The movement looks very different. The H logo on the main bridge is out of position relative to the adjacent screw, the cutouts in the counter weight are much bigger, etc

Yes the buyer is quite suspicious. With Hublot it's quick and easy to contact the company to confirm authenticity, with the CEO himself likely quick to assist.

The fake Hublots are pretty good... seen some pictures online not from replica forums but regular forums and they are GOOD... buyer beware!

I think every brand has been replicated very well these days. The good thing about Hublot, and how it is an industry leader, is its newer models having the electronic warranty card and card reader.
