Well after a struggle as where I should go next with my collection I decided I would get an Omega Planet Ocean XL. I was originally looking to add another Navitimer to the collection but finally decided that at the end of the year I plan on purchasing the Navitimer with the B01 in house movement. It just makes better sense. I have always liked Omegas especially the Planet Ocean XL. I have never owned a modern Omega and decided it was time to give them a chance, also being a huge James Bond fan it was only logical. I liked both the orange numerals and the white numerals but decided on the white as it is a great all around look. I am very very impressed to say the least. I got this at an incredible deal and it is Mint. Even came with the orginal purchase receipt. The best part was I was able to pick it up locally from another collector. Needless to say I think I have caught the Omega bug! Maybe I for see a Bond Seamaster Blue in my near future! Leon please look down mercifully on me!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It's a great watch. The best thing about it is that it looks great on multiple strap/bracelet combos. My favorite is NATO followed by rubber then brown leather and finally the bracelet. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Curious, what is the point of the other crown? Does one adjust the date and the other the time? Surprised it's not just one crown. |

As Roff said, it's the HE valve, and for some reason Omega still use a manual release version on the SMP and PO as opposed to an automatic version that pretty much everyone else uses. They even use an auto HE valve on the PloProf anyway, so I have no clue why they still use a manual on the SMP and PO. I know 99.99% of people will never need it, but if you did, surely a manual value opens the door to potentially forgetting to unscrew it....... |

A manual He valve seems truly idiotic. Even worse than some watches that have two automatic He escape valves. |
