ok so lately i have been thinking alot about my collection and which way im heading or what i want to get. but to be honest im actually pretty content. I only have 4 pieces none of which are over 8k and im pretty happy. sure i look at other watches but there is really nothing out there that is making me feel the need to drop the cash. might i actually be done with buying watches?? how do you guys feel about your collections? how many pieces do you want? will you keep collecting or do you have a few pieces that if you bought them round everything out? |

I hear ya... a little slow right now. Have one to sell and then my collection will be a little thin. Just don't see a lot right now that excites me ![]() |

I am a little thin at the moment, I could add a piece or two, but out of the entire lineup of Breitling atm, I can find a flaw that while small to some, is big enough to prevent me from dropping any cash. I am close on the Montbrilliant 01 LE, but I have doubts about the dial colour. I am also looking strongly at the TO 1461 when it lands, but am not completely sold. What I really want, wait; I would love a 42mm SS brushed case, black dial with a colour matched date wheel, something with a short lug length, not too thick that would work on rubber well as a daily. But I can't find anything. So for now I ponder and wait it would appear. 4 is my limit as well. |

Have one coming in by the end of the year and I think 4 is my max. I go back and forth on selling 2 of mine and buying one and having ony 3 by year end, but I change my mind daily. A trip to the AD next week should clear my mind. |

For the last couple years ive been trying to get my collection in order, im pretty close now. i have 6 watches in my rotation, 4 nice (omega p.o., breitling seawolf, iwc aquatimer, rgm 250p) and 2 beaters (helson sharkmaster, seiko landmaster). If you ask me everyone should have atleast one beater!!! For now on when a new piece comes in a old one has to go. |

Just when I think I have it all figured out, something else comes up. Still, I believe I'm getting closer to at least understanding what I want, that will have some staying power with me. I need another transaction or two to get there. |

I think I am going in the direction of interesting vintage watches rather than going for new/recent models. Not necessarily lings or expensive pieces, just interesting stuff. |

I doubt that I will ever be done. I am becoming more selective now, but still a lot of brands that are underrepresented or not represented that I think that there will always be room for some more. Plus I am sure that my tastes will continue to evolve as I get older and watches that I think look cool now might not work. |

i have changed my collection and goals on the last few months, instead of a bunch of watches, i am trying to keep it to 5 or 6, with different examples from a few brands and styles. i have my white super avenger, mostly because i have lots of different straps and bracelets for it, my gold mop bentley motors, by black and rose gold forum, my dssd rolex and the pan era 372, basically all the best of the big watches i think. I'm happy with the group right now. |

I narrowed my collecting down to vintage chronographs only. Unfortunately that's not quite as narrow as I thought. Sooo many interesting old chronos out there at decent prices. I added about 20 in the last 6 months. Too many, but never enough. Right now I'm focused on completing my 769; and then I have a couple of specific pieces on my short list. Thinning out all of my non-chrono collection and a few generic chronos is more than likely in the cards as my next move. Once that's done, it's going to be quality over quantity .... In theory. ![]() |
