I recently posted about my blog and a watch I repaired (the Geo. Forrester & Co. pocket watch). There was this one feature that had my attention. But until now, I did not know what these two extra levers were. Turns out it is a hacking seconds feature to the watch. I have not sold the watch yet, but does anyone know the rarity of such a timepiece with that feature from 1810? I know ALS has a hacking tourbillon which is supposedly incredibly complicated and rare, but that IS a tourbillon, not just time only.

Don't recall off the top of my head when hacking was first introduced, but that is early, largely because it wasn't really seen as a particularly important function in those days.
