OK, so I am in Amsterdam getting ready to go back home in two weeks and I was doing some shopping, and I saw the RG Speedmaster with a brown dial and I have to say the color combination looked real good to me. Unfortunately the watch was too busy for my tastes. I know other makers must make RG watches with a brown dial, watch needs to be 41-46 MM and under 25 K USD. The Jaeger Extreme Tourbillion is nice, but more than I want to spend right now. All suggestions appreciated!

I have no suggestions regarding a watch but you may have a walk down the
"pc hooftstraat" in amsterdam , several high end watch stores in that street and close by (ACE Jewelry store just around the corner from there)

I hope you find anything you like !

Dracha, thank you for the suggestion! I am familiar with the area and have walked it many times. PS: Love Amsterdam and Naardin!

Roff, good one! That Breguet slipped my mind! First choice so far!

Maybe an ardoise dial if interested:

This one might be out of the price range but it's still pretty unique:

Then there is the JLC MC Geographic in RG with brown, might be a little small for you.

Do you like Panerais? They will be happy to provide you with an object to match your desires :)

Aside from that, a L.U.Chopard XPS "Geneva seal" may do it for you.

Both are worlds less "busy" than a speedy.

Altair, you probably know this but just to make sure
dont forget to buy 'tax and duty free' , you will have to take the sales receipt to the tax office at Schiphol airport when you go home but it saves you a good 19% VAT / GST

As a new member you likely don't realise how funny that is. I think that it's fair to say that Altair is not completely averse to Panerai

I see, might have been a bit naive there ;)

Besides, gotta say: that Cartier Calibre looks amazing in RG... I hadn't seen it before, I'm not a big fan of the SS version, but in RG it really comes to life!

I've had that Cartier in SS and was extremely disappointed in it. The strap felt cheap, the deployment is a piece of junk, and the watch looked very unbalanced. You can't even compare that to the Breguet XXI, not in a million years.

Well the XXI is in a league of its own :) I am not one for diving watches, but objectively speaking, it is very beautiful.

Whats a Panerai?

Seriously, thanks for the suggestion, but I have way too many Panerais right now and I am awaiting on a brown dial composite 1950, so for the sake of diversity I think I will go with something else. Though the Rad in RG and brown dial is stunning.

Thanks for the suggestions, nothing quite hits the spot like Roff's.

Fear, although I like Cartiers pens and cufflinks, I never liked any of their watches.

AA Brother,

Though this piece is above your budget, we both know budgets were for blowing anyways.
