I'm finally graduating college this may and my mother wants to buy me a watch as a gift ( which im super excited for ). Price range is 6-7k after a discount, I'm looking for a dressier watch 40-44mm and an inhouse movement. So far I like the Transocean Chronograph LE, Glashutte Original Panomatic Lunar, and a Pam 190 ( wishfull thinking ) Im open to all other options as well. Thanks for reading. My watch collection is Breitling SA, Pam312 ( with in a few weeks ) a Magrette Bronzo and two Steinhart's (ocean1 and 47mm pilot) |

How about the Omega Aqua Terra running the new Omega caliber 8500 movement? It looks dressy, classy and masculine. |

Don't think you can get a GO Panomatic Lunar at that price, but maybe a Senator Chrono with discount. |

Agreed, I don't think you can pick up a GO Panomatic Lunar in that price range, but for sure you can get the Senator Chrono as Scott mentioned. I absolutely love mine and wear it often, however another maker I would recommend looking at is Blancpain. Although most of their dressier offerings such as the Leman and Villeret come in a 38mm case, they are awesome pieces and have an amazing 100 hour power reserve. Also as Jlee mentioned, JLC has a couple models that fall into your price range/style and would be another awesome choice. Another maker I would recommend considering would be Zenith. They offer a number of attractive models in your price range which feature their famous El Primero in-house movement. Lastly, I would also recommend looking at Cartier, another maker that offers some conservative dress models with in-house movements within your price range. Good luck with your shopping and be sure to post some pics on the one you decide on. Grats on graduating college as well and I wish you the best. |

I'm leaning toward the GO but I'm open to anything right now. Rolex just doesn't do anything for me, I respect the brand I like the watches just not in love with them. |

Sorry the acronym escapes me...could you please elaborate? Sheesh! working over here with the US Mil I am bombarded with acronyms, most of which the people using them don't have a clue as to their meaning, much less do I...LOL. |

I recently priced that GO and retail was around $8200 usd. Brick and morter store (AD). I expect a small discount from retail for cash purchase. |

You said Rolex doesn't do anything for you but since you have a super avenger I would look at the new Rolex Deepsea. At 44mm its a beauty and its brushed so it doesn't have a bling effect to it. |

I love the DSSD but I think its a little out of my price range, and as for the cartier calibre, love the case and bracelet so much but I can't stand the open date window, small detail that just bothers me immensely. |
