Hi I understand this is not a breitling but i have used this forum before and the people are helpfull and quick. i have purchased a rolex gmt 2 from a second hand jewler and am quiet happy with it however i just wanted to check it was authentic as i purchesed at a discount with no papers. and my nearest otherised rolex dealer is in a different city. I have taken the best pictures i could but as u can see my cameras zoom carnt pic up the numbers The 12 o clock numbers are ORIG ROLEX DESIGN 16710 T and The 6 o clock STAINLESS STEEL D*****6 and the braclet has the number MA 78790A The Hour hand is below the 24hour hand and the first clip of the winder is the quick set our hand and the second is the minute hand. Also their is a barley visable rolex crown on the crystal at the bottom withch takes me a couple of minutes to find. Also can any one please tell me the Year and what The T means after toe model number. Any help would be greatly apriciated. Regards |

That crown at the 6 o'clock is a laser etching to foil counterfeiters ......Unless they have found a way to duplicate that, sounds good. But!! I would still take it to a dealer to make it 100% sure....And to check out the watch for anything else. No one here can verify your watch from here.. It needs to be checked in detail, in person, in hand. Hope this helps in some small way....Good Luck ![]() |

From preliminary glance it looks okay... Usually the counterfeiters botch up the serial and reference number engravings too but wish there was a better pic of it. But as Dracha suggested the best way is to crack open the case back and check it out. I have yet to see a bonafide "fake" Rolex movement. Usually if you crack open the caseback of fakes they're generic crappy auto movements in there. |

Your best getting it checked to make sure its all orginal parts as some could have been changed over the years. |

Considering, it has athe LEC on the crystal, it's probably OK, but I would have it checked out anyway. The bad guys are very smart out there and always trying to stay one step ahead of the good guys. Do you trust the seller? can they open it up? Oh, here's the best source for Rolex nuts...great bunch of guys and the most knowledgable on the planet for Rolex's: http://www.rolexforums.com/ |
