Quite the whirl wind trip. Got to work early, busted out some things, jumped in the car and drove from just north of Baltimore to Philly. Fought the down town traffic and paid $24 for about an hour of parking  Met with George and now I am back.

That is the second time I have been in the store but the first time meeting George. Super nice guy, if you are at all within driving distance or vist Philly I highly recomend stopping in. Great selection, very nice store...I did get just a slightly snob-ish feeling from the few people working the floor when I asked for George. They wanted to know if "he was expecting me" in a pretty condecending tone. But I am pretty high strung when retail people give me some 'tude' so maybe I am over sensative to that. George, on the other hand, is top notch. Took all sorts of time with me, let me try on anything I wanted, knowing full well there was no way I was going to buy some of them.

I always laugh when I see the term Grail watch, but I think I just might have one now. Nothing crazy over the top like some of the beauties we see posted here, but the Transocean chrono B01 limited edition chrono, black with white subs might have me planning some late night raids on liquor stores and gas stations. 8) Every aspect of that watch is killer, and made me like the mesh bracelet even more. I am sure by the time I would save the $$$ for that and build up my watch capital with the Mrs. they will all be long gone. Much like the Avenger Code Yellow was in 2010/11. For roughtly the same $7K I think I might take it over a Explorer 2, which I really fell in love with when I tried it on.

Anyway, long winded post...but if you get the chance surely stop in and give the store the once over.

glad you had a nice trip.

IMO either watch you end up with is nice. The TO is more dressy and the EXP 2 is a little more rugged. do you prefer the chrono over the GMT functionality? Do you like Breitling more than Rolex? Does the LE mean more to you than non? Is resale value weigh into your options?

these are all questions that should help you pick one of them.

I have been to the "new store" a few times and echo what you said. george is a top-notch guy, knowledgable and very friendly. They have a nice selection, and they have been more than accomodating with me. Great bunch.

I've delt with the same issues there in regards to the other employees. Its purely due to jealousy because 95% of the people there, are there to see George. :D

Ive talked to him about this in the past.

Also, George typically works the upstairs part the most, so I naturally walk up there. Before I even hit the stairs, I get grilled up by the old guy every time time and I give him the same remark every time... "I only due business with George sorry". And he doesn't like it so much :D ... George and I get a kick outa it though!

They should change the name to Georgeberg's.

They should call it a CashReducerBerg. I've got him working possibly two watches for me, strap/deployment for my wife's Cartier, and finally getting around to a blue OR for my blue dial SteelFish. F-14 Tomcat and the rest of you have worn me down on the blue OR over my black DP2. At least I don't have to buy the clasp again

One of the best lines I've ever heard on a television show comes from Absolutely Fabulous, said by Edina to a rather snooty art gallery receptionist:

"You only work in a shop, you know. You can drop the attitude."
