Yeah this is pretty old news and nothing remotely like Omega's coaxial. It's a practical application, but really just moves the weak point to the mainspring and balance spring which will wear out and drive servicing.

Not cut faceted diamonds! These aren't exactly pricey items.

From what I understand diamonds were used when the DIAPAL technology was conceived, they kept the name but is based on nanotechnology now.
