My watchmaker is generally very good at getting standard sized replacement crystals for me, when the need arises.
However, I recently picked up a very nice swiss movement Hugo Boss dress watch, nice and cheap as the crystal was in a bad way - but my little man can't get the correct sized glass! He approached Boss, and they're quoting @ £95 for a replacement - that's about twice what I paid for the watch!
The glass I need is a tonneau (barrel) shape, and slightly domed too, so not a common type - but there must be someone out there who can supply or cut a bespoke crystal for less than £95??
Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received.
