First of all, happy new year to all of you :cheer:

Just seen on the Sinn official website that they have been developing the 7750 movement replacing the rubies with diamonds and thus eliminating the use of lubricants. Which in turn means that the movement doesnt have to be serviced as often.

I havent found how often it needs to be serviced....does it ever?

Does anyone have any experiences with this type of movement? (This is not the same as Omega's Coaxial is it?)

Yeah this is pretty old news and nothing remotely like Omega's coaxial.

It's a practical application, but really just moves the weak point to the mainspring and balance spring which will wear out and drive servicing.

Not cut faceted diamonds! These aren't exactly pricey items.

From what I understand diamonds were used when the DIAPAL technology was conceived, they kept the name but is based on nanotechnology now.
