I was doing some internet scouting on the new Corum Bridge Automatic and ran across this one-off model Corum donated to Only Watch.

Only Watch is a biennial charity auction held in Monaco where Watchmakers donate specially designed one-off and other unique pieces to benefit research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a highly debilitating neuromuscular disease that affects one boy in 3,500, meaning 250,000 children, teenagers, and young adults globally. 100% of the sums collected from this auction go to the research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Check out the Only Watch link for a gander at some pretty amazing pieces.

As a side note, this piece sold for 50,000 Euro or 67,151.14 USD

I generally don't like weird looking watches, especially square ones, but to quote a wise man, "That's friggin sweet." Corum makes some cool square watches.

There's been a few articles on Only Watch in International Watch over the last couple of years - this year's was the second one held. I was surprised how reasonably some of the pieces actually sold for. It's a great way to get a completely unique piece, although of course the prices for the more popular pieces are somewhat less than affordable!

I agree roman, I don't generally like square watches, but I love the Corum Bridge line and this one is just downright awesome. I would love to see them produce this combo, it would for sure find a place in my grail book.

I'm not familiar with Piaget, but their Altiplano Skeleton piece they donated was an interesting piece I thought. It went for a mere 54,000 Euros/72,694.19 USD
