Well I don't really care for Tag Heuer but I got a really good deal on this Carrera and bought it several days ago.
My review:

PROS -
I love the large face and color combination. The finish of the case and dial are really nice. The chronograph works very smooth as well as the pushers. The dial is easy to read also. The deployment clasp is really nice and very comfortable. Actually the watch itself is really comfortable. The sapphire crystals are beautiful. Keeps wonderfully accurate time.

CONS - The leather band is just "simple" and not what I would expect from the Carrera line. It's just plain brown leather with contrast stitching. The movement (Calibre 16 as Tag calls it) is a Valjoux/ ETA 7750. It is fully decorated but not as "clean" as my Maurice Lacroix - clean meaning some edges not as smooth as I would expect and some rougher looking places deep in the movement. I also don't like the date function changing earlier than midnight (normal for a 7750 as my Maurice Lacroix does it also). I don't like the idea of the aluminum bezel insert. I can see that getting scratched easily.

All in all I really like it. I lucked out and bought it for a great price but would be disappointed if I paid full price for it (around $2,300 usd). It seems like there are MANY better Swiss Made watches for 2k.

The Carrera is probably my favorite Tag Heuer piece, with the classic Monaco chronograph being a close second.

Congrats on the new piece!

Thanks. The more I wear it, the more I like it. It feels really good. Not too heavy and not too large. I LOVE the size of the watch face; perfect for me. It's funny, I am getting more comments wearing this watch than any of my others. Maybe a Grand Carrera is in my future? Who knows...

Many Congratulations.

I love the retro colour combination of the orange against the brown. That sunburst dial is very striking.
