Andrew and Sam ordered a few watches whilst they were at Basel this year.

Most have come through now. The latest two arrived just this week.

Two very different but also very desirable 'pieces.

The Chopard has a porcelain dial. It is absolutely gorgeous. Incredibly classy and contemporary at the same time.

The Bell and Ross BR02 Phantom is very cool and is more legible than the BR01 and BR03 Phantoms due to the applied hour markers and oversized hands.

I shall be updating the relevant blogs with many more pictures in the very near future.

Nice, I really like that B&R.

That Chopard looks very clean, and very nice looking movement.

:yeahthat Surprisingly different look for a Chopard. A simple, elegant dial and case with a nice in-house movement. Just a classic looking dress watch. Good for you, Chopard. Any idea on the price Ricardo?

:yeahthat

I really like the look of that and as I'm looking for a dressy watch to round out the collection, I'd also be interested in knowing the price.

I like the Chopard but the date window doesn't look right to my eyes. Even tho it's bevelled it looks under finished.

Nice! I really like the Chopard, and I'm already a BR02 fan so I like that one too (I don't like PVD but I make an exception for B&R Phantoms).

Can't wait to hear more about that Chopard, it's very interesting.

I get what you are saying, but since it is a porcelain dial with very simple painted romans and chapter ring, perhaps more finishing of the date window would look out of place.

My price prediction - $15,500.00 US.

To me that looks like a watch that shouldn't have a date. Very simple and classy design but the date window just throws it off IMO. Still a pretty watch though.

The brushed silver dial version of that Chopard looks very nice as well, hoping to see one of them in the metal before too long.

That particular B&R doesn't do a thing for me unfortunately.

And with the Chopard, I'd always want to wear it inside out : the DB is INFINITELY more appealing to me than the dial which also doesn't do a lot for me either. There are much nicer dress watches out there IMO.

Well, Mr Shark, I'm delighted to tell you that you are off by a mile and a half.

The current retail price is £5400, which I guess makes it just under $8K. Certainly a lot of watch for the money.

FYI, the BR02 Phantom is currently £2600, so about $4K.

I am also looking forward to seeing this model as well. We have one on order. Not sure when it will be here but I'll be sure to post some pictures when it arrives.

We also have one of the Limited Edition 1937s. This is absolutely stunning. Like the pporcelain dialled version it really needs to be seen in the flesh. Current retail for this model is £6200.

I can empathise Mr Driver.

I wasn't too interested in this model until I saw it in person. The porcelain dial is unique and has a genuine warmth. It adds a very classic look to a contemporary dress watch. I can not emphasise enough how much this watch needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.

My wife gets to see many many watches that I take home for review and photographing. This is her favourite watch. She seemed genuinely dissapointed that it was too big for her.
