Anyone have any experience with these ? I am looking for a daily wearer and there are a few that I like in their catalog. |

Ball Watches are really excellent, and great value for the $$$. I currently own a Ball Spacemaster, and just sold a Ball Engineer II Arabic II COSC. Their watches keep amazingly accurate time (probably the most accurate watches in my collection), have fantastic finish, anti-magnetic (most, not sure if all of them), not to mention the feature Ball is most known for, the fantastic tritium tubes! I sold the Engineer II only because another watch caught my eye, and I really didn't want to sink more $$$ into my collection then I already have. Being that the Engineer was black dial, and I have a Planet Ocean that's black dial and somewhat similar, it was the one I let go. It was (is) a fantastic watch! By the way... I needed to add two links to the Ball Engineer II that I sold, for the new buyer, and while I was at the AD, I naturally walked over the the Ball display! (They carry Rolex, Omega, Longine, etc. etc.) LOVE the Ball Trainmaster Eternity! |

Thanks for the input, Shel. I've recently taken an interest in Ball, too, mainly the Trainmaster line - the Cleveland Express in particular. Unfortunately, I don't have any firsthand experience with the watches, and they don't get discussed very much around here. However, Watch Talk Forums has a very active Ball discussion forum, so you can probably find a great deal more input there. See a pretty good video of the Cleveland Express here. |

I like the look of some of the Ball line, and I really like the Tritium. The Cleveland, at least in that video, kind of looked a little feminine to me. I will have to see it in the metal before judging for sure. |

That video looks a little distorted to me, like it's elongated vertically, making the watch look narrower than it actually does - at least that's my impression based on the pictures shown on Ball's website. Also, my interest is more in the blue dial, which I think might "butch" it up a little bit. My biggest issue is actually with the somewhat awkward juxtaposition of the date and day windows. That, and the rather ornate second hand. I still think it is a nice watch, though. |
