I never would have believed it if I didn't witness it myself. I started timing my newly acquired Sub about 10 days ago. I've been checking it daily and it's still accurate to the second. That's right. It hasn't gained or lost 1 second in the last 10 days. Amazing!! ![]() No matter what time it is when I check, it's dead on. I've been wearing it every day during waking hours and off during sleep. There's no particular way I put it down. It's usually on it's side -- crown up or down depending on how I'm holding it after I take it off -- it's random. All my other watches are within COSC standards, usually gaining a couple of seconds a day. I never expected the sub to be so accurate and it's very rare that I time my watches -- now I just want to see how long this will last. Oh well, I guess I have to keep on wearing it. ![]() |

The Rolexes I've had, and the one I still have, tend to be better regulated when they get to me than other brands. But, I've had some Breitlings that ran spot on as well. Rolex must be a bit more anal about QC. |

No doubt... indeed they are pretty accurate to say the least considering they're mechanical watches... |

That is superb accuracy. On a par with SuperQuartz. My Sub C gains about three seconds a week and I am very happy with that. |

That's very interesting and nice to hear, I had no idea a mechanical watch could be that accurate. Gad you like it ![]() |

This seems to be a common story. My Sub C (last set on 2 October when daylight saving time kicked in here) has lost only 20 seconds in more than 5 weeks. It seems to be even more accurate when I wear it every day rather than leaving it on the winder. |
