Post subject:  XW Tsunami Pro/Con report

My expectatiosn of the XW Tsunami were along the lines of: "well, it looks cool and everytime I see one I am reminded I need to add it to my list" Upon opening the box, I looked at it in it's box longer than the usual 1.5 seconds it takes to get it on my wrist all I could say was "wow" and again, "wow." This one is the jack in my coke, the forrest to jenny, a woman with dancer's legs and laughing eyes.

because there are so many customizable options, instead of a normal review, I'll do a "what's to like and what's not so much"

Pro: the way the case scallops inward, not straight down. I don't know what the design name is, but I dig it.
Image

Pro: the contrast of the polished sides of the bezel to the brushed case....it's not obvious when you dead on to get the time, but really pops at different angles - sort of subtle bling.

Image

Pro: the integrated crown guard and crown...screws in enough to be safe and yet has enough exposed so you are not fighting to loosen it. winding is very smooth and the threading is super easy and super confident feeling
Image

Pro: cool hand set. specifically the length of the minute hand that extends into the lume dot and almost to very edge of the chapter ring means no guessing at the minutes.
Image

Pro: Lume is strong all night
Image

Pro: Versatility. looks good on anyting I put on it
Image

Pro: Crystal AR coated and slightly domed
Image

Pro: Bracelet. pretty cool that the links kinda raise up and give it an agressive look. Srew in links and SEL, too:
Image

Pro: Cushin case comfort, like my favorite chair at home
Image
Image

Pro: timing - out of the box it was +20....8 days later and ginving it time to settle from it overseas journey....it is +1 consistently
Image

Pro: Clasp - solid and strong, no cost cutting here. diving extension, flip guard and two pushers on the sides.

Con (sort of, but not really, I had to find something to put here) Seiko 6R15 is not the smoothest sweep I've ever seen, but not jerky, not staggering and not a heart breaker.
