I dont think its an apple product though. From what I understand, theyve just added some watch faces to the nano so that it can be used more as a watch with all the available watch bands.

Yeah. It's been available for some time now.

Who's disappointed with the iPhone 4s? Just call it a 5!! Booooo. I was hoping for a completely new design!

Unlike Breitling, they left the 'look' of the phone the same but completely changed the insides. New upgraded processor, better graphics, longer battery life, improved antenna, 8mp camera, and a 64gb memory option. I don't care what they call it, it's an improvement over the current 4 and i'll be getting one for sure.

^^ yup, I agree. Same form factor but completely different phone.

If recall, there is an issue with the iPod "watch" feature where it switches off (i.e, the clock feature disappears)?

So is this the new I-phone 5 you guyz are talking about?

My contract is due for renewal in November so if it is out and any use I'll be getting one. Hopefully its better than the 3GS which is a great tool but no use for a phone....well, for me anyway. My Iphone loses signal so often, even though I'm on Vodafone which has a strong signal where I live I have great trouble getting anything over 1 bar but my partner has a Nokia on Vodafone and gets full bars in the house.....bloody annoying!

Cheers

No.. the new iPhone is the 4s. It looks like the 4 but is much faster, has voice commands, and has a better camera. It has a dual antenna and is a world phone now.

I was hoping for a new design but I'll take this one as I have the 3gs also.

I have the ipod nano watch already. Almost a year now.

The nano does shut off but there is a setting that allows you to display the clock/time upon turning on.

I get lots of friendly and odd looks, perhaps it is too nerdy. It is like the calculator watch of today.

I'm disappointed with the new iphone.. It's already a 15 month old design add a 2 year contract to that and you are talking dinosaur ages in terms of tech. On the other hand, it's a nice upgrade if you have the 3gs or the 3g but if you have a 4, IMO it's not worth the money. Wait for the 5, most likely a new form factor and design, along with the strong possibility of LTE or 4G network speeds.

Here's a link that was on our intranet at the office:

Sounds like the sixth generation Nano offers a variety of watch 'dials' and now variable colors and styles of bracelets.

Ha ha, that is why I'm getting a Samsung S II.

All the 4S is doing is playing catching up. And with the master gone....

Not sure I understand this argument. Sure, the case is a 15 month old design but the internals and OS aren't. I guess I wonder what people are looking for? If they'd redesigned the case and called it an iPhone 5, would people be happier? As far as LTE goes and 4g, I'm still not getting that argument either. We're just not there yet.

I do understand the two year contract piece; however, unless you plan to switch carriers I've always seen this as a non-issue. Typically most accounts are eligible for early iPhone upgrades so by the time the new one arrives most accounts are eligible. EVERY time a new iPhone comes out, I've sold my current gen for at least twice as much as the new one costs. The iPhone 4's are going for about $400 on eBay right now. So it's a win-win. I get a brand new iPhone each season and collect $200 for nothing more than agreeing to continue to pay for a service I know I'll need anyway.

I should have started my post with the sentence, "I have an iphone 4, and the iphone 4s is not enticing enough for me to upgrade due to the following"

^^ well, that's a different story ;). Just kidding. Seriously though, whether I'm enticed or not, I always upgrade as outlined above. I'm on a corporate contract and will not be leaving AT&T so it just makes sense.

Back to the iPod nano. It looks identical, correct? It's the same hardware with an adapted OS and reduced price? My wife wants one. Not sure she'll wear it as a watch. With wireless headphones that would actually be a great combo.
