Dear God I saw that saucer at the AD today. What the??? I swear with a direct line of sight and clear weather I think I can get satellite channels on that thing!!! Upside is if I ever find myself in a sword fight I have a shield strapped to my arm. Ok that's enough :?

But it is an impeccably made watch, just lovely. Domed crystal, rhodium finish, manual wind 27 jewel movement, display back for the GORGEOUS movement, a black dial to die for. It looks like the numerals are fl;oating in a sea of engine oil. Just mesmerizing and very, very elegant.

Downside is the only next smaller model is 41MM and then there is the puny 39MM. If it only came in a more reasonable 42-44MM

I hear the 41MM wears larger than it is, but have not seen it in the flesh. Anyone have any first hand experience?

I've seen the big big one you're talking about, and while it does look just as well made as the smaller ones, it simply is too big. My dad has the 41mm and it's a sharp looking watch. He's had it for about two years and no problems. Very nice looking and does wear a bit bigger than 41mm.

I actually have a railmaster in the 41 mm. It was one of my first "real" watches. It does look fine on. I am a big guy and and typcally won't concider anything less that 42mm. This is a very nice watch. Looks great on with the black band. I really like the Omega Coaxial movement, very well made. I always enjoy picking it up and the simple movement from the watch box to my wrist is enough to get it to run. I have seen the XL a little big for me, it looks out of proportion. Omega is a great brand the ones I have are very reliable.

I have been a fan of railroad (pocket) watches for a while. They were great watches for their era. They had to keep time withing 30 seconds per week. Which is pretty good considering COSC is -4/+6 seconds/day.
