Post subject:  Versatility from Cartier

Hopefully you folks will not tire of my Calibre de Cartier posts. Now that I have had this watch for a couple of weeks, it reveals a personality all it's own, moreso than any other watch I have owned. It is definitely a Cartier, but with a rather fun, or whimsical, edge to it. With my lifestyle, and my line of work, most of the time this timepiece will be "dressed down", and worn with very casual clothing. While I am of the general opinion that one should feel comfortable wearing any watch with any clothing, I find that a lot of us on the forums regularly question the adaptability of certain watches to certain occasions. I would not hesitate to wear this Cartier at any time, any occasion, or with any type of clothing. About the only thing that I would not do, is swim with it on, and it is definitely not a diver watch either, at a water resistance of 30m. Since I rarely swim, and never dive, this is not an issue with me. I do wear it to work, doing production work in a print shop, working with machinery all day. The bezel takes the brunt of the scratches and dings, as the crystal is recessed into the case (much like a camera lens). I also wear it to the gym, as I have all my previous watches. Never had a scratch or a ding there.
Sorry for ramblin on. The watch is mostly worn with shorts or jeans, t-shirt (my favourites from the local "Ironhead" store), and my favourite "Winged Skull" ring, by "King Baby" of LA. Never been a biker myself, but I really like a lot of jewellery and accessories associated with the recreation. Here are a few of my latest pics:

I don't dress up often, but occasionally a fine dining experience or a nice loung downtown will dictate wearing better clothes. And I would feel completely comfortable wearing this watch also at those times.

Cheers,
Carl
