Post subject: | Professional Polish - Very Important not to over-polish... |
I have put together a video about the merits of getting a piece professionally polished. I can't stress the importance of getting a piece professionally polished as opposed to giving the task to somebody who thinks they know what they are doing.... An idiot with a polishing wheel is a very dangerous thing! The most important part of polishing is to disassemble the wtach firstly... polishing each part individually. Often some pieces are polished to a glossy finish whilst others are polished to a matt finish. The above process takes time to disassemble and then polish... then putting back together. I have just had my Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Two Tone piece professional polished. The results speak for themself. |

Another link removed for the language, but again I am sure that you can find it on Archie's YouTube channel if you wish. |

Looks very nice after the polishing, even noticed some scratches are gone. Stop cursing in your videos so the links stop being removed! |

After reading your post Otto I had to go and check it out myself and you're right, it was hilarious. A lot of F's and other expletives though. I can see why the mods have been removing the links. On another note, did you notice that Archie's youtube channel has a couple of thousand LV reviews ![]() |

@Otto and Tim - I agree with you that Archie's videos are hilarious. If he went a bit easier on the swearing, we'd let them stay as links here. |

I just feel there are more intelligent ways to express a message. |

I'll give credit where credit is due - he has a couple ones blasting paypal on false seller security and charge backs. This was a year ago and many of us here have just become aware of the possible horror stories over the last 6 months or so. And no, I can't post the link - it wouldn't last 5 seconds. ![]() |

If he's not swearing in his posts here, and if he were to post a "strong language" advisory along with the link, what would be the problem with linking through? It's not like there would be foul language appearing on this forum, and members could choose whether or not they wanted to take the chance of being offended by clicking the link. |

Sort of Archie's own "Jordan Rules." ![]() |

It's just a line drawn in the sand to avoid having to deal with shades of grey. Let someone get away with a "light grey" and before you know it, someone will try a "slightly darker grey". Just saves us a few hassles, and besides, all Archie's videos can be found on good old YouTube. |
