Does anyone know if Omega intend to stop producing the 2500 co-axial movement Planet Oceans once the new 8500 co-axial movements are released?

The new model will retail around £4,000, while the current one is around £2650. Although there are other improvements I'm not sure the new one is worth the extra £££.

Yes, I believe the 2500 movement POs will be discontinued.

The 2500 co-axial movement will still be around in the SMP though.

:yeahthat The new POs will replace the old POs. If you like the old ones, grab one (or more) while you can.

They're both on the omega website. Do you know when it'll be discontinued?

I suspect they've already been discontinued, insofar as they are no longer being produced, and whatever is left of the older models is just old stock. Omega is probably keeping the old ones up on their website to placate dealers who still have a lot of old stock on hand. That, and they're slow to update - they're still showing the original Liquidmetal PO LE, and there's no sign of the new SMPs yet.
