Could you provide me a website that is selling original Breitling online? Is authenticwatches.com a reliable website for buying original Breitling watches? |

You likely will get as good if not a better deal from one of the forum sponsors. I would suggest ditching the online guys (you will lose the manufacturer's warranty if you do buy online)...and send a PM to FEAR or jnelson3097. |

The grey market is a scary place. http://www.andrewmichaels.co.uk/blog/wh ... d-dealers/ |

Ricardo, in general I agree with your article. I was curious about this statement, though: "So, even if the watch is genuine and the paperwork is all present, if it is not stamped it will not be recognised by Breitling and will not be able to be fixed, whether it is a free-of-charge repair within the warranty period or afterwards." I was under the impression that if the watch is genuine, and hasn't been altered, Breitling (and other companies) will service it even if it was purchased gray market. It's just that the owner will have to pay for service if it's gray market; as you said, it won't be covered under warranty. Breitling won't service fakes (obviously), or genuine watches that have been significantly modified from their factory condition. Regarding the OP's question, I'll state the premise upon which all the other opinions are based, but hasn't been explicitly stated: there is no company authorized by Breitling to sell their watches online. If you're buying online, and the watch is new, then you're buying on the gray market, with all its associated risks. This site's administrator has posted a list of online dealers, and his opinions of them. |
