I did a search and maybe my inquiry's to vague so I thought I'd ask you guys who have experience. It looks like I have a buyer from the forum here for my World. My question is what's the best way to protect both of us, me sending the watch, him sending the money and both of us being protected from loss. I'd like to receive the money and I'm sure he'd like to get the watch he's expecting. How do you guys assure that on your sales? Thanks for your time. BTW a face to face deal not possible as the distance is to far.

as long as both of you are in the same country, pay pal for payment and fedex or ups for shipping.

Thanks, what comes first the Chicken, (watch) or the egg, money? Is the Money on hold till the watch is inspected, etc. Again thanks Fear.

Under NO circumstances should watch come before payment. Make sure the funds are sent and cleared PRIOR to shipping your watch. If you did a good enough job explaining the condition of your watch then there should be no surprises.

Best payment options are Paypal or Wire Transfer. If using Paypal make sure to ship ONLY to a verified address. If using a wire transfer wait 24 hours after wire is received to ship. I just learned this week that wire transfers can be recalled..so my new policy will be to wait 24 hours before shipping.

When shipping make sure to insure it for full value and make sure to select adult signature required.

Well done, you have the patience of a saint!

As Mfserge and Sharkman said, don't ship the watch until the money is in your bank account!

Cheers

When I accept Paypal I state clearly in the ad that I WONT ship the watch until the funds have been transfered into my bank account from my PayPal account. I am not risking some scammed filing a false charge claim and meanwhile my watch is on its way to him.... Fully insured with UPS with a tracking number and adult signature required..

Of course any of the friends on the forum that are regular contributors will ALWAYS get exceptions made for them.

I am more and more afraid of PayPal as a seller, so my preference is wire transfer.

As has been said here many times before buy the seller and I guess that work both ways..... Working in reverse for yourself, if you get my meaning......... Good luck with your sale and hope all work out well.
