Am I missing something?

Kobe's gift?

Herpes?

The gift that keeps on giving the year round?

Too funny  I thought the same thing until I scrolled my mouse over the post and realized it was a hyperlink.

The hyperlink shows a gyrotourbillion, which retails for much more than $9,000. ( Platinum 950, limited edition of 75 pieces and retails for $365,000.) The watch he gave his team was a S/S Master Compressor Chronograph. What a day to be a benchwarmer for the Lakers.

That's a nice looking piece.

I'd love a tourbillion. <hear those violins playing>

Nice piece indeed, I fully plan on getting a tourbillion, maybe as a retirement gift to myself. My gold pot at the end of the rainbow if you will.

JLC make the most amazing gyro tourbillion in their Reverso case, just sublime. A less shockingly priced model is their Master series tourbillion, which happens to be one the best made tourbillions AND the cheapest by far. About as affordable as tourbillions are going to get.

Here's the watch that he bought them all...

http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/na/en/watches/master-compressor/master-compressor-chronograph

The article I read said that the total cost was around $126,000 for the watches and the dinners. Nice present, but the article went on to say that Kobe makes over $280,000 per game he plays, so this night out was not even half of one game! Still it is a nice gesture to say to the team, "hey, I couldn't have won the MVP title without everyone's help."
