Beautiful, and I like how the design echoes the original Portuguese. I tried on the vintage collection version (black dial) some time ago and loved it. |

This is probably one of the best IWCs. I really like it. Only the 8day movement is better (according to my opinion)! BG Thomas |

It would be my second choice, as much as I love it. I love more the Hand-Wound Vintage Pilot!!! ![]() Cheers, Enezdez |

I would recommend this watch to folks who don't have the wrist presence for the 8 day and are not 100% sold on the value of the Portuguese Chrono. The 8 Day would not really work on my 6.75 inch wrist and the height sort of bothers me. As for the Chrono....nice watch, but for a dress watch I prefer a 3 hander. The hand wound with the see thru case back and gorgeous movement fit right in the middle. Anyhow, I think I am in love |

I tried one of these on the last time I was in Vegas and absolutely fell in love with it. An absolutely perfect dress watch in my opinion. I prefer the black dial though. |

Where did you try it on in Vegas? I agree that it looks like a perfect dress watch. Very classy and elegant! Sounds like the perfect size for me also ![]() |

Makes a world of difference to me on both the black and white dial. |

Should be here tomorrow, and just in time for a weekend at the lake. I went with the white dial and rubber strap as a replacement for the recently departed SOH. I will hold out before making too much of an assessment, but I am thinking it will be a nice upgrade for only a little bit of extra cash. |

You mean like this one??? ![]() Do yourself a favor and pick up the bracelet at some point. It's really nice, and you can change between the rubber strap and bracelet in like 10 seconds. |

Just like that one. ![]() john123 wrote: Do yourself a favor and pick up the bracelet at some point. It's really nice, and you can change between the rubber strap and bracelet in like 10 seconds. I keep hearing that the bracelet is worth the expense, and I have not tried one on myself, but aesthetically I am not really drawn to the bracelet. I am sure the build quality is great, and the quick change is really useful, but the design is just sort of bland looking. My CM24 is on a bracelet and I love that style of smaller links which I feel like hug my wrist better. That being said I do consider myself a strap guy at the heart of it all, and I absolutely loved the Breitling deployant rubber strap. I hope the tang style IWC rubber strap is half as comfortable. However, not taking advantage of the quick change system, one of the main selling points of the watch, feels a bit odd. For now I think one bracelet option in my collection will do, while I put my hard earned cash away for the opportunity to add my fourth,......the Portuguese Hand Wound pictured above. |
