Watch winder keeps your watch/es running. That much I get. Any other reason/s? Why not let it run for as long as it does, and when needed, restart it? |

Why not let it run for as long as it does, and when needed, restart it? no reason why you have to have a watch winder. it really is just personal preference. some people like to just grab their watch and go others dont mind winding them up and setting them every time. |

You dont really need one, but in some cases--especially when multiple complications are involved--setting them can be a pain in the ass, so its much easier to keep them running. |

My standard is this: when you go to put on the watch, how bothered are you going to be if you have to take some time to wind it and reset the time, date, etc.? Along the same lines, if you're in a hurry, and your watch has stopped, would that keep you from wearing the watch that day? How much would that bother you? If you're not that bothered, then a winder probably doesn't offer that much benefit for you. Personally, I just want to be able to put the watch on and go, and not have to worry about whether or not it's running or set properly. I prefer to set the watch at times I choose, not at the times the watch chooses. So I use a winder. |
