I kinda thought that bezel and freaky huge right button ruined it but in person the watch looks absolutely great.

Quite the feature set, absolutely great caseback and dial. Very unique look (good for rounding out any collection) very nice movement and best of all my AD offered me 45% off. At 1800USd I am seriousely thinking about this limited edition watch, what do you guys think?

Oris make some great value pieces. My only concern would be how practical that vertical crown would be with a long sleeve shirt.

Exactely, but as stated, more of a tool watch/ oddity in the bunch. I think I am just going to get it at that price, can't go wrong. Expect pics soon, in the mean time here are a couple of real life pics:

Yeah I'd go for it. As I say, Oris make superb value watches and for the kind of price you've been offered you'd be hard pressed to find another Limited Edition piece by any other decent manufacturer.

Oris has some nice stuff. I like their diving watches the best.

What does the arrow at the 2 o'clock position do? Is it functional?

Colleague of mine just bought himself an Artelier Complication for $1,400 - Oris really do offer tremendous value, and of course exhibition back automatics everywhere.

I've looked at some in the past and I couldn't get past the huge crown - I understand the concept, but doesn't work for me. I would have to get one on bracelet as well if I did pull the trigger - Breitling straps spoil you.

I know what you mean about Breitling straps spoiling you, Roff.

The 44mm Oris Der Meistertaucher diver's regulator has always been a favourite of mine (although it's titanium unfortunately - http://www.oris.ch/collections/collecti ... product=51), and the 47mm Carlos Coste LE diver's watch with orange markers and left hand crown and push-pieces is also a personal fave. I can see an Oris or two in the collection down the road - if the TT3 Chrono is a nice looking piece - and the rubber strap is more acceptable to me than their croc (sorry Ling man) and the Artelier Skeleton is amazing value. The Flight Timer that started this thread is a nice piece, but unlike Altair I can't get past the huge bezel crown

I really like the Carlos Coste diver watch. I think I saw it at the AD here but forgot to check it out in detail. My 2-year old son had other plans. I may have to go back this weekend ...

As far as I know it's just the seconds register. They just decided to make it double ended for a bit of a feature.
