I do a lot of physical work in the day and gardening, walking dogs, time outside with family etc in the evening and would not dare ware any of my "better" watches in doing so. My job includes making and fitting furniture so any possible beater will get beat around ALOT. I want something that if the crystal gets smashed of it get totally wrecked I can just pick up another one somewhere.
It has to be auto so the Seiko Monster is the first choice so far but I want to see if the are any ideas out there on auto chronographs. If the SM was a chrono I'd had that.

I am looking for something iconic like the SM but in a chrono, any ideas?

Price bracket of under 200$ 150E 120GBP new or second hand, does not matter...

If you decide that a chrono isn't necessary check out the Seiko skx009j1 or the 007j1. I just got a 009 to use as a work watch/beater and I couldn't be happier. Great looking watch with the same movement as the SM but a little more classic looking in my opinion.

Ya looks sweet. Similar to the Seiko mini monster that I like. I have a Seiko Monster Black and Orange on the way as I cant seem to find a Chrono that I like. I will keep which ever I prefer the best..... Seiko seems to be the way to go though....
