Hi everyone haven't posted for a while, but still been checking out the discussions. Can't believe it's been a year since I got my first Breitling! I just wanted to get some opinions from you guys out there. I was looking into getting a Ball Engineer Master II Diver Worldtime the watch has alot of nice features and for the fit and finish seems to be a good value for the money plus I really love the use of those tritium tubes! If anyone cares to chime in with some opinions on Ball watches I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks! ![]() |

I guy i know on another forum just made a post about him buying this watch today. he has a couple ball watches and realy likes them, i like the way they did the dial layout on this one. seeing how its a eta 2836 they seperated the day/date and i guess the worldtime part of this watch rotates counter clockwise. ive never been a fan of tritium tubes but i guess ball does a nice job with them. If you like it get it, i know you can get some good deals on these watches if you shop around. Steve |

I think most Ball watches are a very good deal...you get a lot of watch for the $$$$. What they lack are brand recognition and technological advancements. Very pretty lumes and sturdy watches - but not a timepiece that I would consider to be an intellectual head-turner. |

My only advice would be to try it on first... especially if you wear your watch on the wrist bone or to the right near your hand like I do. I owned a Spacemaster for a short time and it felt brutal on the wrist. The bracelet pinched the skin and lugs dug into me. I did like the watch so even bought the rubber strap to try but that only helped with the pinching issue. It wasn't more than a matter of minutes wearing it that I knew it would be sold, and had I been able to try it on I wouldn't have made the purchase in the first place. I then sold it used losing a few hundred (I was lucky the price went up) and the buyer listed it within 24 hours of owning it because of the same problems... and he too wore a watch the same way as I do. I really did like it, and wish I could have kept it, but obviously a bad fit is pretty much a deal breaker for all of us. Having said that, you're interested in an entirely different watch so none of what I said might matter. Again I am a fan of Ball watches, just not for me. |
