Post subject:  JLC Atmos Clock

Does anyone have any experience of JLC Atmos clocks? (The Atmos clock basically runs by small temperature changes in the atmosphere and should keep going almost indefinitely as it doesn't need to be wound).

The reason I ask is because my father was given one as a leaving present from his employer about 10 to 15 years ago and while it's in mint condition, it's recently stopped working. I've tried to convince him that it's well worth getting serviced / repaired but he doesn't seem that interested.

I've had a look on the net and not found that much information about them, and nothing at all about where or how to get them serviced or how much it's likely to cost..... or indeed what it may be worth in perfect running order.

Some of the best info I have found (with pictures of ones similar to my fathers) is here - http://www.clockguy.com/SiteRelated/Sit ... story.html

I don't have pictures of my father's at the moment but I can get hold of some if anyone thinks it may help. Any comments most appreciated.
