So once you've been at our company for 10 years we typically buy our employees a nice watch(like a Tag or something). However, we are thinking of getting my father(the founder) something nice sometime soon for everything that he has done for us. Plus, he has been here for the last 20+ years and never got anything (besides a nice car of course :D )

I am open for suggestions! He is more of the old school "Rolex is best" type of guy. However, I'm thinking either Breitling(Gold LE Transocean), IWC or Rolex. Looking for around a 43mm case too.

I would like to keep it under $10K.

I think he would also like something with some gold but once again, open for suggestions!

THANKS GUYS! :D

Two tone GMT2C or Two Tone Datejust II should do the trick.

Two tone Datejust 2 hands down given his Rolex preference.

If it's going to be a two-tone watch then HANDS DOWN the Rolex Datejust II, grey dial, w/green romans. I know two guys who own that watch (I was close but went SS) and it's stunning!!! 10x nicer in person than photos...and even the photos make it look hot.

:yeahthat

Even though the style of a DateJust isn't for me.... a DateJust II would probably fit perfectly for your dad.

Lovely idea, they used to do this at my work but they don't bother anymore which is a shame (my 10th year there this year ....)

If he's a Rolex guy, youve really got no choice. As much as you try to change his mind, its not gonna work.

I love that watch. It's definitely the nicest combo. I just don't think I can pull off the dj2 let a lone a two tone one.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO. I think Sharkman will concur on that one....unless your Pops like watches with an identity crisis.

Have you considered a JLC Master Control? I think the RG model can be had within your budget. It offers JLC's outstanding quality and in-house movement with timeless styling and a reasonable size that a Rolex guy should appreciate.
