I think I just about get away with it with the g/f by buying her shoes every now and then! Jimmy Choos, Alexander McQueen, Christian Louboutin, that kind of thing. It certainly buys me a little "watch buying latitude"! ![]() And we're not married, so technically at least, my money is still my own!! (Or at least that's what I tell myself!! ![]() ![]() |

I manage OK as I buy & sell watches regularly. This means that the "collection" ebbs & flows. Sometimes I forget to sell them! If I get caught then it's just a case of "...oh, didn't I mention that one. I thought you'de seen it...." As doctor diesel says....his wife only has 10 pairs of shoes. Yeah - right! Don't know how happy chapie gets away with it - by his own admission, he can't get 'em all out at once! Just bought a B-1 this morning and it will get delivered on Wednesday - Mrs Breitling Bloke will have to be informed as she will be home to sign for it.......still working on the story for this one! |

Whats hers is half mine, and whats mine is half hers. So every Breitling I buy is half hers. Shes a lady what lunches (housewife)....She cant pay, so she owes me half of two Breitlings. I wrote off that debt and put it toward my third Breitling. We are all square now. |

My wife limits me to one per year, and that takes a bit of talking. She was quite suprised though when I told her how much Breitlings have went up recently. Especially since my Navi-World went up $735 in price from the retailer I purchased it from. ~Brian |

Unfortunately........ I have to buy lady Breitlings too ![]() I even showed her the Navitimer Airborne that Antiquorum is auctioning next week to see what the reaction would be. Her question "for you or for me?" I'm in serious trouble! |

I found the best way to keep her from moaning too much was to buy her a pair of Lady Wings with MOP, gold, and diamonds. only trouble is she's seen the Starliner in the Chronolog so looks like more earache. She's got a strange idea that i should sell a couple of my precious Crosswinds and buy her a diamond covered lady watch with the beer tokens. ![]() |

If my ex-wife learned of my new passion, her lawyer would be after me for more money. My girlfriend thinks I am quite mad but our finances are separate. She is entitled to her opinion. ![]() Many of you will know, if you want to loose a lot of wealth, just separate from your wife. For that reason, for some time, you will see me hanging around the fringes, looking for good deals. ![]() Fact is, there is nothing exciting to invest in, in NZ right now so I am enjoying investing a little in my own pleasure. ![]() |

I like a few others above, have been able to get my wife hooked on watches as well. I have have also said many times to my wife, "this is the only jewelry I wear...you have plenty of expensive rings, bracelets, earings, etc." So it ends up being an equality thing for the most part...but now with my first Breitling coming in a few months, I am waiting for the "payback" jewelry piece to be requested...should be interesting! OBTW, we have been married for nearly 20 years, and I have yet to have a serious problem regarding purchasing watches. |

I hope I don't get my girlfriend hooked on watches, because while she loves mine, the only one she's ever shown any interest in owning herself is a white gold Patek Philippe Calatrava Travel Time! ![]() ![]() |
