ok guys i wanted to get your opinion on what watches you guys like between the prices of 4500-8000 dollars USD. Please share what you like about the watches and why you think its a good buy. For me right now (and i can believe i am saying this) 2 pieces come to mind. 1) New Rolex Explorer II GMT, i think someone mentioned it will retail around 7500. The reason I like this watch is the new sizing seems like something that can be worn with a suit or with a tshirt and jeans 2) Pam 312. Seems like a lot of watch considering the crazy strap combos The two things I like aobut these brands is that they walk to the beat of their own drum and have managed to make a cult like following. Please share the models that you guys like so we can all compare notes. thanks in advance |

The seconday market also offers some excellent deals now. In that range you can also pick up a nice iwc BI, or something from Jaeger like the Navt Seals Alarm. Though the two you mentioned are also excellent, especially the 312. |

In that range I like the JLC MC diving chrono and the 312. SubC/GMTIIc are other options. |

Had my 312 for just a little while and I still look forward to straping it on when I get home. (not a watchfor a manual laborer!). AND with a million different straps out there, the "new feel" doesn't seem like it will fade very soon at all. Tonight, as I strapped on my new TedSu strap, it was like getting a brand new watch! I highly recommend the 312. |

i do like the look of the 312. and i would say that its top of the list interms of a next possible purchase. One thing that i noticed though is that the 1950 case wears and looks much bigger than the stated 44mm diameter size. a while back another member photographed it sitting on top of a SA and from that picture they almost looked identical in size. This might be a good question to pose for RJ and Bronco but how do you guys find the fit of the 320 and 312? what size wrist do you two have? The reason I ask is that I find myself wanting to go down in size from my usual choices. So maybe the 104 might be more suitable |

I am presently smitten with the Rolex professional range - Sub C, GMT Master IIc, and Explorer II. They are just right. For the most part I am going away from chronographs and towards less cluttered and more simple elegance in a dial. I'm pretty sure the SS GMT Master IIc retails at $7,250 and a smallish discount can be had. The Sub C is about $100 more. The soon to be revamped Explorer II can be had at close to 20% off. At least I got one for that. If you don't have the Sub C or GMT Master IIc, you really should. I mean to say, you really, reallly, REALLY should. Better yet - get 'em both!!! |

All of the dimensions are neck and neck. The PAM appears a bit larger visually, but fits the same. Ive got a 6.75" wrist, and its right at its limit with the 320. Definitely much smaller than an SA. |

In the price range I'd say: Rolex - Sub C, GMT IIc, New Explorer 2 Panerai - 312, 359 IWC - Portuguese 7day can be had with a discount in your price range...until IWC Raises prices next month. JLC- Master Compressor Chrono or Geographique, Navy Seals Alarm. Breitling - Blackbird, Navi B01 Omega - Planet Ocean Chrono |
